Sly: On case Chap 7/10

Soon everyone were in the master bedroom. Kids have went to bed. They did put against it, because they were scared if the mean guy will come and kill again, before Rex came told tell them that he already know who the bad guy is and he will catch him. In this kids hugged him and wished good night for their father, Arthur the butler, Anna the maid, uncle Alfred and aunt Elizabeth. After that, all the adults came to the master bedroom with Carmelita, Dr.Wolf and Sly. Rex was worried that Bernadette wasn't there. Well, maybe it's the best she wasn't, she probably try to make it into big scoop.

Rex was standing front of everyone in the room.

“Is it true? You know who is the killer?” asked Mr.Hertz.

“Yes.” Started Rex. “I wasn't surprised that he would have died, because to me it was obvious that everyone, including everyone here, hated him and had good motive too. Even you, Mr.Hertz.”

“Me?”

“I heard the story of your passed wife. Mr.Diener came always to demand her to leave you and your children. And many time she refused, but that didn't stopped him to come over and over. You did knew this, did you?”

Mr.Hertz was quiet for while before sighed “Yes. I knew he tried. But she never accept him. She told me she couldn't stand him.”

“Yes. It's obvious. Been married more than twice would tell that he was just too stubborn guy or that his is worse husband ever. And I'll go for the last.” said Rex.

“But I didn't...”

“Of course you didn't. For your children sake. They already have lost their mother, loosing a father could broke their hearts.” said Rex. “But like I said everyone had something against him. Like other Mr. and Mrs. Hertz. Mr. Diener didn't like you to be together. He wanted to be all Mr. Perfect, but every time he has been dumped and have wish worse to you as well.”

Alfred and Elizabeth nod to agree Rex was right.

“Of course there was also the children. Mr.Diener didn't seem to like them. And not to wonder, their weren't his and yet they reminded a lot of their mother.”

“Oh no. You don't think...”

“Calm down, Mr.Hertz.” said Dr.Wolf. “I check the body and by how he died, they couldn't have done it. They're all clear.” Mr.Hertz sighed for big relief.

“Yes.” continued Rex. “But still, even the staff members couldn't stand him. Always calling them worthless, and so on. To the chef he called lousy and that he can never have good work in any restaurant. For Anna he had beat who know how many times...” in this everyone looked on the maid. She tried hold her tears while hold herself. In this Carmelita hugged her to calm her down.

“And then there also you, Arthur.”

“I know he called me many things and...”

“Oh wait. I'm sorry. I didn't mean as you, Arthur. If not YOU, Ms.Feline.”

Everyone looked confusingly at Arthur, the butler who looked more confused then everyone else.

“What?” asked Arthur.

“Oh, no need for act, dear. I recognize that butt anywhere.” said Rex. Now for every guys jaws just drop. Especially from Enric, who looked bit angry at the same time.

“Are you serious?” yelled Enric.

“Okay. Let me explain this.” said Rex and snap his fingers by asking something from Sly. Sly gave him and post card which he showed to others, especially to Arthur. “This post card came from tropical beach and was send by you, Arthur. So, could you explain us how you can be at two places at the same time?”

Arthur looked while before sighed and took ice pick to stab his own stomach. In this Anna gave a scream and covered her eyes. Everyone was bit shocked on what has just happened. In stomach came weird sound like it was a balloon.

“Congrats...” said Arthur before he took some weird devise from his mouth. “...Detective. I thought that I hid that post card, while I could.” heard female voice while butler took the mask revealing to be hot looking female cat with long dark brown hair and brown eyes.

“Well, I did ask Mr.Cooper to go check the room. Nothing stays hidden from him.” said Rex.

“I see. Well, I guess the problem was on duties of butler. I was so occupied that I couldn't do much.” said Ms.Feline while she took jacket off.

“Oh my god, Rex. How you knew?” whispered Sly.

“I wasn't sure.” admit Rex. “I just noticed that this post card year old.”

“What?”

“But may I ask one thing? My butt? Did you really get it that way?” asked Ms.Feline.

“That and the picture here in shelf. I couldn't first get anything because glass went broke.” said Rex.

“Oh. Well, don't worry, you couldn't figure it out anyway. It wasn't good picture.” she said.

“Well, I did recognized your butt and your tail.” said Rex.

“Should I be worried about that?”

“Oh don't worry. I'm not that kind of guy.”

“Oh, of course not. You just that kind of guy who puts his eyes on unprovided places.”

“Who is she, Rex” asked Enric.

”Look the picture.” said Rex and showed the picture to Enric. ”Who is in it?”

”Umm... Mrs.Hertz and....”

”Exactly!” interrupt Rex and look at Feline who was front of mirror doing her hair. ”Even if this picture is old...”

”Did you call me old?” asked Feline.

”No. Like you said, this picture is horrible on your part.” said Rex. ”But since it was found in this room, next to the wedding and family portraits, it must mean you were someone very special for her. Am I right?”

”Yes.” said Feline. ”I came visit her many times at summer. She even told about the dead guy. She really asked help from me.”

”What happened then?” asked Rex.

”After she died, HE didn't allow me to come here anymore.” said Feline looking at Mr.Hertz.

”You don't seem like each other, don't you?” asked Sly.

”Scoundrel.” said Mr.Hertz between his teeth.

”Snob.” coughed Feline.

”Okay. We get it.” said Sly.

”Then why you came here?” asked Carmelita.

”And why as butler?” asked Enric.

”Oh, I know Arthur when I came to see Clinda. He called me and told about kids. That they weren't looking good. And that I should check on them.” said Feline.

“Oh yeah. You have studied psychology.” said Rex.

“Yes.” said Feline. “and when you came, was proof that kids were getting better for now on.”

“Until the murder.” said Sly.

“Yep.” she said. “But it wasn't me.”

“Of course not.” said Rex. “You have an alibi. And as horrible he was you wouldn't kill him.”

“Of course. It would be too easy for him. I would have make him feel so much pain in many ways.” she said.

“Please no details.” said Rex.

“Have it your way.” she said.

“But who then killed Stephano?” asked Mr.Hertz.

“Someone who is in this room right now.” said Rex.

“But Rex. I check everyone's alibis. No one hasn't been seen at the door.” said Carmelita.

“True.” said Rex. “But which door...”

“Which? Are you saying that killer came through study?” asked Sly.

“But only master of the house the key.” said Enric.

“Actually everyone who lives here has the key to study.” said Rex. “with Mr.Hertz kids also had key to study. Which leaves one question. Mr.Hertz, did your wife had key to study as well?”

“Yes... wait you mean?”

“Exactly. The murder manage to get the fourth key to study which can't be seen from stairs. Which gives good opportunity to sneak in to the master bedroom and shot Mr.Deiner and go back to have an alibi.” said Rex. “Am I right?..”
